Killers promise 'cheesy saxophone' sound for new album

Band admit 'people may laugh at 'Day And Age''

Not another rubbish Killers Christmas single...I haven't forgiven them for the last one yet. There is a sax solo in 2 doors down by Mystery Jets and people don't mock them...because they are a good band.People will mock the Killers for this album because I'm sure it'll be an overcooked piece of rubbish...like Sam's Town.

Oasis' Noel Gallagher reveals his Top 10 bands

Find out the guitarist's definitive list

Wed 03 Sep, 2008

He believes they are the best bands ever...fair enough. It's a pretty dull list, but Oasis are a pretty dull band who wear their influences on their sleeve.I don't understand why no female artists are allowed. Surely a band of females is still a band."current" bands Noel's championed...er...The Stands, anyone?

Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong album cancelled at last minute

Band's self-titled debut album is pulled before it hits the shelves

Tue 22 Jul, 2008

Having seen them live at the NME tour I agree they were awful.I'll be avoiding them like the plauge at Reading. The album must have been really bad for them to have put it on the shelf. But don't know without hearing it.It'll surface somewhere, sometime...with curiousity interest only. The album was likely to have bombed so they have another chance to make something better. It shows that the label haven't written them off as a taxloss.Question is if they've got it in them to do an album worth waiting for?

Mumm-Ra split up

Sussex band call it a day

Sun 25 May, 2008

WAAAAAAHHHH - I Love Mumm-ra. They were fantastic - Saw them about 4 or 5 times, they were the stand out band on that NME tour. Gutted. They shouldn't be lumped in with middle of the road indie stuff. They were genuinely interesting.

The Mighty Boosh to launch their own festival

Comedy team to sign up bands summer show

Fri 18 Apr, 2008

The first series is pure gold - Probably my favorite TV comedy since brasseye. The second was okay. The third was pretty duff.If they played the comedy tent at Reading they would be heroes...Having their own festival...meh, might be worth a squint, probably not though.

Glastonbury tickets still on sale

Limited number of tickets up for grabs

I've been 4 times before and I'm never too worried by the headliners as long as the 2nd stage looks good...but it looks bad as well.Kings of Leon are okay ... but where are all the young, exciting, or interesting bands/performers?Still, if people don't like it then there are plenty of other festivals to choose from..

Emily Eavis: 'Jay-Z not to blame for Glastonbury registrant numbers'

Glastonbury organiser claims recent bad weather is to blame

Wed 26 Mar, 2008

Comments (1)

I've been to Glastonbury in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007 - and so I've seen rain and shine and it's never put me off. I registered this year but was saddened by what appears to be the worst line-up ever. I don't mind Jay-Z he is "okay"...but not what I'm looking for from a headliner. I understand that they want a younger audience but I don't think that the line-up appeals to a young audience. Massive Attack Fatboy Slim The Verve Would all look more exciting in 1998 not 2008. I'm 27 and I think the line-up looks dull. I usually camp with about 10 other people...not everyone has registered and those that have are definately not going. I'll be getting my festival fix at Reading & Latitude this year and crossing my fingers for a better glasto in 2009.
