A public apology to all involved in the C/O Pop shenanigans
Wed 19 Aug, 2009
As much as I like Patrick Wolf's first 2 albums the Magic Position was average and Batcholer is worse. His outburst was bad mannered and his "apology" is lame.

Band's performance is branded a 'joke' by fans
Wed 01 Apr, 2009
Having witnessed the viewo n their last tour when they played the Norwich Arts Centre and Kyle could hardly sing and had to sit down for several songs because he was "Tired" I can attest to the complete joke of a performance they put in.

I'm very excited about this gig as the Cure are my favourite band ever, and I love FF, I'm interested to see White Lies, Crystal Castles are ferocious live. My only question is...what happened to Justice and Foals? I was sure that when I booked my ticket it said the lineup included Justice and Foals. am I going mad?

Tue 13 Jan, 2009
This year!Must have been a short tour then.I bet no one had ever thought of doing it before the Gullemots either, the groundbreakers that they are. It's not exactly a new idea - But then no one was claiming it was.

Scottish band slag off Damon Albarn and co once more
Fri 12 Dec, 2008
Why is everyone so serious?Mogwai have got sense of humour, take these comments in the manner they were intended.I love Mogwai - If you don't know who they are you should check out The Hawk is Howling - Definately one of the albums of the year.I love Blur too and I can't wait for the Hyde Park gigs and fingers crossed for Glasto.Mogwai are just saying that it's shite that another big band are trying to cash in and it doesn't show much artistic integrity - Whatever you think about the music (which I LOVE) you've got to see that there is a grain of truth in that.

Pinnacle Entertainment responsible for over 400 indie labels
Wed 03 Dec, 2008
I don't really understand the impact of this on the music - but could it mean that music from these bands won't get into the shops? Or will the indie labels be able to find another distributer? IIs this because of the recession or is it a knock on impact of people buying/obtaining music in different ways (i.e. not buying c.d's from shops) ?I think stuff like this could be awful for the really small bands who need indie labels to nurture them.

Glasto is easily the best festival. Reading is good but it's tiny and bland compared to Glasto. Surely whether a line-up is good or not is a matter of taste anyway.

Not another rubbish Killers Christmas single...I haven't forgiven them for the last one yet. There is a sax solo in 2 doors down by Mystery Jets and people don't mock them...because they are a good band.People will mock the Killers for this album because I'm sure it'll be an overcooked piece of rubbish...like Sam's Town.

He believes they are the best bands ever...fair enough. It's a pretty dull list, but Oasis are a pretty dull band who wear their influences on their sleeve.I don't understand why no female artists are allowed. Surely a band of females is still a band."current" bands Noel's championed...er...The Stands, anyone?

Band's self-titled debut album is pulled before it hits the shelves
Tue 22 Jul, 2008
Having seen them live at the NME tour I agree they were awful.I'll be avoiding them like the plauge at Reading. The album must have been really bad for them to have put it on the shelf. But don't know without hearing it.It'll surface somewhere, sometime...with curiousity interest only. The album was likely to have bombed so they have another chance to make something better. It shows that the label haven't written them off as a taxloss.Question is if they've got it in them to do an album worth waiting for?

WAAAAAAHHHH - I Love Mumm-ra. They were fantastic - Saw them about 4 or 5 times, they were the stand out band on that NME tour. Gutted. They shouldn't be lumped in with middle of the road indie stuff. They were genuinely interesting.

Comedy team to sign up bands summer show
Fri 18 Apr, 2008
The first series is pure gold - Probably my favorite TV comedy since brasseye. The second was okay. The third was pretty duff.If they played the comedy tent at Reading they would be heroes...Having their own festival...meh, might be worth a squint, probably not though.

I've been 4 times before and I'm never too worried by the headliners as long as the 2nd stage looks good...but it looks bad as well.Kings of Leon are okay ... but where are all the young, exciting, or interesting bands/performers?Still, if people don't like it then there are plenty of other festivals to choose from..

Glastonbury organiser claims recent bad weather is to blame
Wed 26 Mar, 2008
I've been to Glastonbury in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007 - and so I've seen rain and shine and it's never put me off.
I registered this year but was saddened by what appears to be the worst line-up ever.
I don't mind Jay-Z he is "okay"...but not what I'm looking for from a headliner.
I understand that they want a younger audience but I don't think that the line-up appeals to a young audience.
Massive Attack
Fatboy Slim
The Verve
Would all look more exciting in 1998 not 2008.
I'm 27 and I think the line-up looks dull.
I usually camp with about 10 other people...not everyone has registered and those that have are definately not going.
I'll be getting my festival fix at Reading & Latitude this year and crossing my fingers for a better glasto in 2009.
