Paul Weller slams Facebook, MySpace

'Why not go down the pub' instead, says the Modfather

"The 'Yoof' of today really seem to find it difficult to not take things literally. Would it be beyond your mental capacity to think that Weller could be using the expression 'go down the pub' as a metaphor? He seems to me to be saying maybe you should get out a bit more and mix with people face to face. I really can't see anything wrong with that. It's only an opinion after all. You remember 'opinions' don't you? Maybe not. Looks like Cameron will get elected after all. In the immortal words of Homer Simpson: 'he'll tell us what to do...".Bang on! Al he was saying was we interact with our internet friends more than we have face to face interactions...We are shortcutting life and the basic mechanics of dialogue in person. It is not "get with the times" He was just telling it like it is. Just because our youth has sold out to social sites, does that mean that is 'the times'? Think for yourself, and know that Paul Weller is wiser than you kids whining about him striking a nerve with you. Have a nice day in front of your square brainwash box.

Pink beats Oasis to Number One

And Kings Of Leon remain top of the album chart

Ha! Pink atop of Oasis and KOL. British culture is no different than over here in the US as to pop diddys dominating mainstream. What a joke to see PInk atop of the charts. In America that sort of nonsense is expected but in the U.K. I would expect the masses to recognize quality and substance over teeny bop dog shit. Small world after all! I fail to believe NME has yet to recognize Travis- Ode to J.smith record as they seem to have rediscovered their swagger. Go figure!
