Did I just watch Tim Westwood interview Michael Eavis, and did I actually hear Micahel Eavis say something along the lines of "I was interested in the whole Obama thing. You know, the connection. I thought it would be great to have a black fellow headline Glastonbury"DID I ACTUALLY HEAR THAT ???

Glastonbury encourages gig goers to take coach to festival

Michael Eavis says get on the bus

Thu 17 Apr, 2008

Oh Mr Eavis. These silly suggestions are exactly the reason I'm not going this year (apart from the poor line-up and weather prospects)Last year it took us 12 hours to get off the site thanks to poor drainage (which I'm sure if it rains this year, will be no better - that another classic from the Eavis clan - "Oh we're sorting out the drainage this year - whatever)And there is no way in hell I'm going anywhere near the coaches after the horror stories I heard.I'm sorry, but Glasto to me, is to all intents and purposes, done.

Oasis O2 residency rumours resurface

Could the Gallaghers be playing London venue this year?

Sun 13 Apr, 2008

Comments (1)

hmm. Think not. This from this morning's papers.Neil Gallagher also revealed that Oasis will never play London's O2 arena because it's too "Americanised"."We went there to see Led Zeppelin and to be honest the gig was fantastic, but it was the most soul destroying venue I've ever been to."And much to our manager and agent's disappointment, we came back and said we would never play there."It's too Americanised for me, and it's too far away. Any gig you can get to by boat that hasn't got a beach is wrong."
