The Strokes are a joke. The most overrated, over hyped 'band' I think in the history of music. They sound like a bad cover band of rock bands in the 70s. And Casablancas has to be the most boring, monotonous self-righetous 'singer' ever. When you look at what their output is and has been over last decade, it doesn't really stand up to anything. They are pathetic - if they can't as a 'rock' band have fun writing and playing and recording together, then what is the point of them? I bet even miserable twats like Radiohead have more fun in the studio etc than The Strokes! Why do people and the NME arse-lick The Strokes??? They have only a couple of good songs at best. Over-hyped a decade ago as some sort of messiahs of rock music. They are not and never will be. They are not cool for trying to sound retro or like bands in the 70s. If The Strokes were around back then they would go totally unnoticed when up against legendary bands and musicians such as The Ramones or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, who have more talent and musical legacy in their little toes than The Strokes could ever dream to have!

Shame this twat is only known, and the in the news for being a drug-taking lowlife who somehow keeps getting let off jail time. Why do they keep wasting police and courts time arresting him when they always just let him off!!?? And why do NME keep reporting and promoting him as some sort of musical messiah?? Oh sorry, I forget, you like to lick his arse dont you, along with other talentless, tuneless indie shite. Would any normal man in the street know he is meant to be a musician? I wonder how much he was paid for this exclusive VIP gig though. So comparisons to actual musical legends as Lennon, Dylan, Petty, he is not one!!!! Yes, they may have taken drugs recreationally in their life/career too, but look at what they produced from it - classic LPs such as Rubber Soul etc which will stand the test of time - they are not lowlife junkie scum. If he was black, and not famous he would have been in jail years ago, and now be someone's bitch. And some of his followers wank over him and think he is some musical messiah - NO HE ISN'T!!!!! His songs dont need to be sung or performed like the shite on X-Factor or other pop crap, as they are a REAL band, not pop shite who croon to the camera! The SuperBowl, and other US broadcasts may be used to pop shite like Janet Jackson and boy/girl groups miming, as they are talentless crap, but, if you actually know TP's music, you will know that he didnt, and would never mime! Besides, why would a band that's been touring and recording since the early 1970s need to mime! TP and the Heartbreakers showed the world what a REAL band should sound and look like. Would like to see utter shite like Hard-Fi or Radiohead or some pop act control a crowd of thousands as well as TP does. No band in the world come sclose to them live or on record - not even Pearl Jam!
