The Strokes: ''Is This It' was born from confusion and alcohol'

Band speak about their seminal album sessions

Thu 20 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

oookkkkkk......most of the songs were from "is this it?" which was a truly great lp in a very dismal time for music....the world was going crazy for crap like LIMP BIZKIT at the time so it RADIATED BRILLIANCE! I love the Strokes but i feel that the momentum is now lost, and that their time is done.....and personally speaking ROOM ON FIRE is my fav lp...xxxx

Leona Lewis robbed of Number One single by own record company?

Singer's version of 'Run' is not available to buy as a single

Wed 19 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

Who cares? Its a dire , achingly dull moan from deep inside the dusty innards of a curly haired toss pot and his jobbing MC side- kicks with their invisible profiles.....and Leona Lewis looks too much like a horse...a very pretty horse, and to be honest, the fact that she doeslook like a pretty horse throws up all sorts of questions to myself and my feelings for her....

Arctic Monkeys 'could finish new album this month'

Matt Helders reveals more details on the follow-up to 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'

Fri 07 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

I have to disagree with Frankie as i think Alex is a great singer and will only get better as the years pass by.....I loved their 2nd lp but i think the best is yet to come, i genuinely believe that the Arctic Monkeys have the potential to be a worthy successor to the Beatles, in terms of sonic experiments and jaw dropping tunes...listen to 505 and thats the future of Alex and co....they have a world class drummer, lyricist, guitarist and a great bass player....the only way is up!

There are NO RARITIES on there! buy a cribs record instead for god's sake, morrisey has royally taken the piss out of his fans over the years and some of them lap it up....the last Morrisey record i bought was "oujia board ..." as i thought it was total shite, only trouble is he then carried on releasing shit records and becoming increasingly right wing over the years...perhaps it was the influence of all those skinhead boys he shagged....he is finished, let him go

Sex Pistols' John Lydon to become face of British butter

PiL man set to appear in Country Life advert

Wed 17 Sep, 2008

Comments (2)

I have lost ALL respect for john Lydon now....my admiration for him has fizzled away over the years as his talent appeared to dwindle to nothing.....i thought he stood for something, its not even the "butter" thing its more the erosion of his ideals, that we should treat each other with respect, and ALWAYS tell the truth....his recent behaviour shows us a man who allegedly now attacks women, balls out poor duffy, leaving her in tears at the Mojo awards, and has a team around him who berate Kele from bloc party simply for being a black man with a "black attitude" he, like Morrisey ( the other let down) talk to US about England while sunning themselves in the USA or Rome etc! listen stephen and John, the reasons why you now hate England are the same reasons that WE love it....multicultural, independant, diverse sexualities, equality, hatred of rascism.....the Sex pistols and PIL cds will be sold, along with the Smiths down at the boot sale on sunday xxx
