nahnahnah, you are basically saying that only big, established bands can have any rights in music and can do pretty much whatever they want, including ripping off other people's work! It's that attitude which is killing independant music!P.S. the songs aren't really that similar, it's the principle of what you said.

Chris Martin is a disgrace to music, he committed a horific musical crime when he took the beautiful Simon and Garfunkel song 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and basically copied it to make 'Fix You', they have the same formula both musically and lyrically. It was a disgrace that that song got as much airplay as it did.Coldplay's first album was pretty good, but since then they've just turned into an up their own arse bland 'indie' band. They haven't ever tried to push musical boundaires. I don't expect anything different from this one.
