I strongly appreciate what Tom Yorke is doing but, as we say in Italy, u gotta give to Cesar what belongs to Cesar!! I will make my case very brief demonstrating how Tom Yorke owns most of his moves to Trent Reznor. He was the first artist to deliver free music with the project around the album "Year Zero" wich was ment to move fans around the world in order to physically find his album and upload it on the net for free way before the album was out!!!.. 1 year earlier than Radiohead (he did that move because he din't want to end his major contract before he delivered music for free) After that, he released Saul williams record in the same "choose what u will pay" way giving to fans different choices on how to download the files giving to the public a wider and better range of music formats to download. The subsquent album "ghosts 1-4" followed the same routine including different different sound formats, graphics etc.. grossing much more money that Radiohead did with their "In Rainbows" output.. he then distibuited "the Slip" for free and will keep it for free forever. Let us not talk about the opensource remixing trend that he launced (the first experiment dates back to "the fagile" days, that means around the year 2000, for which he was heavily sued by his record company!!!)... I strongly love radiohead, but it is unfair that your magazine, and the rest of the british media lacks of openmindeness only awarding uk-indie-soho-eastlondon hyped artists not recognising the person that always fought against major labels and their jurassic way of treating music!!!! He is american and and in his 40's but he still is creating incredible forms of art that are spread around the world of music, from the making to the output!!!! I am a nine inch nails fan and music industry worker.. and I followed new ways of putting music in the market since the appearance of MP3!!! I can strongly say that whoever doesn't recgnize to Reznor such things is not doing his Journalist job well, following only trends and flashe lights not understanding what really goes down after all!!!!!!
