It's a musical award, and she won because she is an amazingly talented musician. Her private life is a separate entity and of course should not affect the decision - if it weren't for bloodthirsty tabloids reporting on every little move she makes, we wouldn't even know about it. I'm thrilled that she won.

Back to Black was made in 2006, well before Amy was a trainwreck for everyone to see. The music speaks for itself, everything else is a result of her success, not the other way around.
