Now the R&B star has weighed into the debate
Tue 06 May, 2008
When the pioneer of drippy, soul-less R&B speaks, we must listen.I'm sure R Kelly will stick his two bobs worth in soon, that will, for sure, create an engaging debate.

Michael Eavis says get on the bus
Thu 17 Apr, 2008
Agreed. It's a nice thought Michael. Unfortunately, National Express are one of the biggest shower of shit companies in this country, right up there with British Gas and Virgin Media. It's a nice sentiment to be environmentally friendly in terms of travelling to and from the festival, unfortunately, (and this is by now way blaming Mr. Eavis because he's a fuckin legend), the organizers choose to, year after year, employ a company which treats people going to and from the festival with huge amount of contempt. I have had some nightmarish experience travelling to Glastonbury on national express (it's the getting back part which is the real ballache). and I, for one, will be travelling in the comfort of my mate's car. And he's not NEARLY as grumpy as one of those twats that drive the National "take your shoes off at the door" Express coaches.

Last year's Sunday night headliner also criticises line-up and prices
Tue 08 Apr, 2008
So...The lead singer of the most overrated band of all time has a little dig at this years line up? The Verve and Kings of Leon are two of the most important bands of the last twenty years. As for Jay-Z, well, I remember a similar amount of bullshit spouted about Black Eyed Peas when they were announced for the main stage a few years ago. Big deal. Go and watch something else. There are literally thousands of amazing things to do and see at Glastonbury, and a frightening amount of people are completely missing the point as to what it's all about. Hasn't anyone noticed that the full lineup hasn't been announced yet? Why are all these idiots complaining about a poor lineup when only three acts have been officially confirmed? The stupidity of some people is astounding.

Demand forces organisers to give festival-goers second opportunity
Tue 08 Apr, 2008
The people stating that the line up is the reason for "poor" ticket sales (100,000 in a day isn't really that poor - the festival WILL inevitably sell out) are really, really missing the point. The festival is better off without those people anyway. The sole reason is, unfortunately, the weater and the ever-shifting British summer. So what if Jay Z is headlining on one particulr night? There are about 3000 other stages with some undoubtedly interesting stuff going on at the same time. Glastonbury has always been about GLASTONBURY, not one partictular act. Ask any of the massive headliners that have played down the years and they will say exactly the same. I got my ticket, and I can't wait for Glastonbury number 10.God bless Glastonbury, and God bless Michael Eavis, he should be knighted for the crap that he puts up with over this.
