This is excellent, Adam is a fantastic vocalist and his voice would definitely suit Queen.

Alex Zane angry about Xfm suspension

Presenter says station are 'over-reacting'

Fri 29 Aug, 2008

Comments (1)

Alex Zane is a hell of a lot better than that iritating Lauren Laverne. I never heard the song but apparently it was Marc and Sunta who wrote it anyway, so in that sense Alex shouldn't have been suspended, but for airing something in such bad taste I think his suspension is justified. I am looking foward to him being back on air though, and hopefully there won't be any more inappropriateness.

'Nearly 100 per cent of music fans copy music illegally'

Poll reveals fans' downloading and copying habits

Tue 17 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

I used to have stuff illegally, but I've deleted most of it now. The only reason I kept some was because I can't buy it from anywhere; it's out of print. I want to pay for music and support artists though, which is why I still buy CDs even though many people I know don't bother anymore since it's so easy to download legally from sites like iTunes.

Judging by the song titles from the new album, it looks like The Subways have lost the ability to spell.

Daily Mail respond to My Chemical Romance emo marchers

Newspaper insist their coverage is 'balanced' and 'restrained'

Sat 31 May, 2008

Comments (1)

Most of the people denouncing the Daily Mail probably never read it anyway. Yes, they portrayed emo in a bizarre way, but they did publish letters from fans defending emo. They are talking rubbish when they say "balanced" and "restrained" though, the piece Tom Rawstrone wrote was pretty ridiculous. People are implying that all the Daily Mail does is denounce emo, when this is not the case. A few articles appeared in the paper in response to the Hannah Bond tragedy, but the coverage was not excessive. I agree that the Mail should not use My Chemical Romance as a scapegoat, but it seems that they were just building on what the coroner said. The Daily Mail is not completely to blame for the misinterpretation of emo. People who are dismissing it as rubbish because of this whole MCR fiasco should note that it is one of the best selling newspapers in the country for a reason (and it's not the free DVDs).

Fans react to The Enemy vs Arctic Monkeys feud

Tom Clarke's comments divide the battle lines

Thu 31 Jan, 2008

I agree that the Arctic Monkeys' second album is rather more dull than the first, but it's not like The Enemy are the greatest band on the planet. I personally find their music really irritating to listen to and would much rather listen to Arctic Monkeys.
