can people please listen to the album before they criticise, dig out your soul is a musical masterpiece and if you dont like it, you probably dont deserve to listen to music.the new album is great, definitely their best since be here now, or maybe even morning glory, i reckon im outta time could be the next wonderwall.the shock of the lightning is awesome, especially the remix, the turning is unlike anything theyve done before, no guitar, which is proper risky, and to be where theres life is great!it deserves to stay at number one, the british people have already made the mistake of keeping pink at number 1 in the singles charts, at least the album chart is more respectful

Jay-Z raps about Oasis' Noel Gallagher Glastonbury spat

Read what the rapper had to say about the guitarist

theres a couple of things that id like to clarify, jay-z is not a rock star, he should stick to his rapping, hes a bloody cliche, everyone rants and raves about his humble beginings, how he made it from the street, oasis did exactly the same, they came from a working class mancunian family, however, they still appeal to the working class, its part of their zeal, jay-z on the other hand, "sings" about his 'bitches' and all the cash that he likes to spend, im pretty sure ordinary people arent that interested in those sort of things, we like to listen to more down to earth music, and in my opinion, oasis come out trumps in this round. and to say that they havent written anything good since morning glory, heck no. be here now, was great, not as good as dm or wtsmg, but still a great record, heathen chemistry, 'stop crying your heart out', 'the hindu times', enough said, standing on the shoulder of giants was good as well, go let it out was a great tune, and dont beleive the truth is also amazing, it was different, lyla and the importance of being idle, arent exactly traditional oasis tracks but theyre still effin epic. and let there be love proved that oasis are back on form. and dig out your soul is going to kick ass. and jess_a, im sorry but wonderwall ... crap, i dont think so, i completely agree with mr. monobrow, the fact that wonderwall still captivates a crowd after 13 years, is a milestone achievement, i was on holiday in kos in july and i went to a club where they were playing rap and hip hop, and randomly the dj says, 'this music is shit', and the first song that he puts on is wonderwall, basically everyone in the club was singing along to it, even though the majority of the party-goers were hip hop listeners.basically, lets all be serious here, noel gallagher is one of the greatest songwriters of our time, not exactly one of the best musicians, but the amount of classics that man has written cant be compared to anyone (yes... even jay-z) and liam's voice is definitely one of the best in rock and roll history (both create a potent combo) so what if noel uses the same chord progressions most of the time, he still writes some immense stuff, its bloody hard to write immense songs with the same chord progressions. i dont care if you like them or not, their music is here to stay until the end of timeLIVE FUC*ING FOREVER
