Arctic Monkeys announce 'Cornerstone' will be next single

Sheffield band also confirm B-side details for new release

Mon 05 Oct, 2009

Comments (1)

Cornerstone is to humbug what mardy bum was to whatever and what fluorescent was to favorite. I can see why they chose it as a single. Its going to be one of the more popular tracks on the album for the people who dont want to delve deeper into it. I personally think this album is a great listen and has its own feeling much like the other two. It seems arctic monkeys may be one of those bands who evolve throughout their career and take new steps with every album, but i dont see that as a bad thing. Whatever people say i am was a classic album but im glad we haven't heard two more albums from the arctics with no progression. Take note 'The Kooks'

no disrespect to the artists that are playing, because they are all great tallented artists but i expected such an iconic legendary venue to have higher profile artists on its last night. Im talking, radiohead, oasis, Ian Brown, Dave Gilmour, the Verve ect.... Any one else feel the same? R.I.P Astoria anyway. Many good memories.

Dre really does know how to make a good beat, not sure about the vocals yet. Could be a grower, Dre's verse is the best tho.

How Oasis V Festival attacker made it onstage

Eyewitnesses tell NME.COM how assailant evaded security

Tue 09 Sep, 2008

Comments (1)

Finally something that might make Noel realize hes not god and not invincible. Most other bands would take it in their stride, imagine if Frank Carter made a big deal out of it every time a fan caused some upset on stage! And as for posting his name and address on forums, what a fucking stupid thing to do! Im sure there's some oasis fan out there somewhere who's stupid enough to take the whole thing to seriously and try pop this guy off. The only reason id want his address is to shake his fucking hand.
