I Have to agree with girls allowed here. The indie scene has become over saturated and become a cliche. In 10 or 20 years times girls aloud songs will still be played on the radio as they have some classic pop records which have sold millions.They have been around for about 7 years now and many indie bands have come and gone in that time.Bands like the horrors wombats the cribs The Pigeon Detectives , the list could go on , barely have any hits let alone have them rememberd in 10 years time. There are alot of talented bands out there like the artic monkeys bloc party and the editors to name a few, who are making intelligent creative music but most are just band wagon tag alongs. This is not a new thing the same thing happened with brit pop. We all remember oasis and blur but who listens to mens wear, sleeper or shed 7 now. Be honest with yourselfs todays indie heros will be tomorrows cd collections. i mean who thinks starsalior and toploader are still cool?
