Former Creation man talks about Shockwaves NME Awards Glasgow gig
Sat 31 Jan, 2009
There's too many people here in Glasgow who like a band purely because they happen to be from here. These are probably the same people who would no doubt slag off a band from another city if they were to sing their equivalent of having the "Baltic Fleeto up their arse". More folk should be looking at simply whether they like the music or not, not just because they happen to live down the road from you.

Glen Matlock refuses to rule out sessions for punk legends
Mon 15 Dec, 2008
I really really really hope they don't. The Pistols have already done enough to try and ruin their reputation; shit tours, bloody butter adverts etc., so another album should definitely be off the cards.

Oasis man still loves the Oxford band though
Fri 07 Nov, 2008
Oasis and Radiohead are only compared basically because they've been the two biggest bands from the UK to emerge in the last 15 years or so.As a big fan of both bands, and having seen both of them live within the last 3 or 4 months, I can see Noel's view that Radiohead have been making quite similar sounding albums since Kid A - although Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows do differentiate a bit from Kid A and Amnesiac. There's no reason why the two bands can't coexist - with Noel admitting that he's a fan of Radiohead, I'm sure in his heart of hearts that Thom Yorke is a fan of an honest rock n' roll band like Oasis.

Hopefully they'll do something soon. It'd be a travesty if they didn't, especially given the political situation since they split up.

Bit of a shame cos he's a top drummer, but now Noel & Liam should try and get Whitey back. Highly unlikely, but you can only try.

Genesis man will longer tour or record
Fri 25 Apr, 2008
Yes! The best piece of news I've heard in ages. The guy is a complete fud and has been an embarrassment to music. And as for Noel Gallagher thinking he's a wanker because of his politics - it's not that man, it's because you're Phil Collins.
