How on earth are they going to cover "Loser"? Is one of them going to rap the verses or are they all going to sing along like it's a big chorus-line number? "In the time of chimpanzees I was a monkey, butane in my veins and I'm out to cut the junkie with the plastic eyeballs". Strange choice.

Actually I don't think Lily Allen is thick. Judging by her lyrical output I would estimate her IQ as about 105 or 107, so slightly above average, but still not quite the level which would be desirable in a popular lyricist.

I think he should continue. If he has the imagination he claims to have, he should use it to come up with something musically interesting. He's still talented, just needs to use his imagination a bit more in his music.

Well, I don't know about Keane, but Oasis are seriously completely and totally shit, they made 2 good albums then turned into the most boring, irrelevant, uninteresting/uninspiring band ever, so I think Noely, nice bloke though he is, should keep his mouth shut about music unless he can recapture his old talent, which he obviously never will, having achieved success and subsequently lowered his standards to subterranean levels. He's too lazy to even write an album's worth of material these days. Face it Noel, your glory days are long past and your musical output is bland, boring, crap.
