As I feared years ago... A band who ultimately would disappear up their own backsides. At least I have the fond memories of seeing them live all them years ago at Sunderland Manor Quay. Im not trying to be negative but this song is musical equivalent of ditch water. . from tales of naughtiness , to bricks on a building site.

These guys are about as relevant as dial up internet in Tokyo.... 3 years ago this would have been exciting stuff, but now its just a cheap souless "KERCHING" ... at least Doherty admits it lol. And yes I agree with you "jamesthe marshall" he does look like a Sherlock Holmes extra :) allbeit a very dull one. "Down in Albion, the tax man looms.... but we dont talk about that... ;)

Singer finally breaks his silence on split

Thu 08 Oct, 2009

Comments (1)

Now listen.... Im as sick of hearing the folk defending this dickhead, as other folk are of taking the piss out of the tosser. The band were a bag of shite with one *decent* Lp, they are no more.... LETS MOVE ON !!! Liam has laughed at us for too long now and made millions of $ from spitting and banging a tambourine off his leg like a tit. LIAM PLEASE EMMIGRATE TO THE STATES ! Im sure Noel will gladly flip you the middle digit as you board the plane. Animal Collective anyone? ; )

I sort of agree with Mr Conka... 1st of which their time is up. Maybe 3 years ago this statement would have been relavant.. And secondly, Barat says "Im too busy".... busy doing what??? a career officer meeting perhaps??? I think even Pete wont be too interested in a Libs. reformation anymore... Lets move guys. David Byrne disses U2 tour spending

Former Talking Head says he's feeling 'less than charitable'

Tue 28 Jul, 2009

Comments (1)

Thats not the point Byrne is trying to make Museician... Its the fact that God and co. spend so much money on sickeningly overblown concerts, when the very ethics of Bono are to 'save the world' be it from only filling his jet once a week or cutting down to 5 new leather jackets a day. Does anyone acually listen to U2 any more??? they hav'nt made a good LP in over 15 years...

Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2009: nominees announced

To comment on a lot of the above, we are reminded that The Mercury awards are usually rewarding to NEW, innovating and original artists... I appreciate Doves are a good tight band musically, but they have been around for almost a decade really. La Roux s debut might not be every ones cup of coffee but she stands as one of the favourites to win. The Horrors deserve a mention for their very decent 2nd Lp, and not forgetting Mr Coxon's excellent Spinning Top Lp to! . . . . My money is on Oasis ;)

I appreciate im missing out on the 'festival experience' but lets be honest I get to see a lot more from the sofa on my jazzy big TV. , than standing behind a bunch of folk shouting , screaming and pissing on my leg. :) Anyway I CANT WAIT to see the mighty threesome headline! Nope you are not the only one Mike.... A good band Muse are without a doubt, but always a poor mans Radiohead in my eyes. Not ostracising Bellamy and co. I just think they are a little overated as our good man Mike suggests. I prefer early Muse compared to the football stadium pleasers they are today! Kasabian in my eyes are overated to... but i will leave that 'Oasis brown nosing, lager swilling can of worms closed ;).

Kings Of Leon smash Leona Lewis' download record

Sat 07 Mar, 2009

Comments (1)

I think we all agree that the latest effort by KOL is not the strongest album. It brings a tear to my eye almost to see them go mainstream, as I was a HUGE fan from the start. I was front row at the Newcastle City Hall gig several years ago when they were in my opinion at their finest live! I think the first album was the best, raw sexy and real... but you cant take the fame and $$$ away from them, as they have worked SOO hard for their success.! I just hope they can return to their roots musically wise in the future!
