Lostprophets, The Hold Steady for V Festival

Plus three more acts added to the festival line-up

Yeah, time_for_something_biblical, I'm in the same position. Was mainly going for muse but this should be awesome!!!! I already knew 'Prophets were doing it 'cos I saw them at the astoria a week and a half ago and they announced it there and I went absoulutely mental. I've seen them live a few times and they rule but the closest I've come to seeing them at a festival was moping on the sofa watching them do reading last year on the telly, they kinda seem like a festival band. Wooooooooooooo.............

Lostprophets announce summer dates

Bands plan shows around V Festival

Fri 20 Jun, 2008

Lostprophets are one of my favourite bands, I've seen them loads and I already had V Festival tickets, mainly for Muse at first, I hate The Verve, but now there's loads of stuff I'm excited about and this is such a bonus. I went absolutely apeshit when Ian Watkins announced it onstage at the astoria last week. Wooooooooo for V. Also, if my valuable source is correct, Muse and 'Prophets are same stage, same day. MEGA LOLZ.

'Nearly 100 per cent of music fans copy music illegally'

Poll reveals fans' downloading and copying habits

Tue 17 Jun, 2008

I'm in the same position as explosivedog, I am 15 and have about 7000 songs in my collection / on my ipod and have never illegally downloaded, I have a lot of CDs which I have bought and I don't even generally download things legally although have been a bit more recently. I downloaded In Rainbows and I download the free tracks when my favourite bands post them but that's about it. I also copy off my friend's CDs sometimes but the originals or if they have bought something off itunes or a similar site I have occasionally had them burn me a copy but nothing more, no illegal downloading, thanks.

Better than fucking awesome. It sounded great, Supergrass and The Futureheads were cool, it was packed and it was immense. Any gig that can make the Grohl cry has gotta be one to remember.

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's ashes stolen

Singer's remains taken from Courtney Love's home

Sun 01 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

No, uh-uh, that's wrong, just completely plain wrong. I can't believe that someone has stolen Kurt Cobain, essentially, some sicko will probably try and sell him on the street or something. That is just disgusting.

Muse begin work on fifth album

I think Absoultion is the best Muse album but I love all their stuff. Wasn't too impressed by some parts of Origin Of Symmetry, I have to say. I don't care, I'm seeing them at V at can't bloody wate. They're basically the only reason I'm going. I can't stand the Verve - I think Bitter Sweet Symphony is one of the worst songs of all time. I'll watch Kaiser Chiefs AGAIN while they're on.

Pete Doherty makes post-prison comeback

Band joined by Shane MacGowan in London

I was there and it was awesome right from the start of 'pipedown' to the end of 'fuck forever'. They were on great form and on stage at 9.30! Pete laughed and joked and teased the security by constantly lighting up cigarettes when they took one off him and hugged and poured beer in the mouthes of stage invaders whom the security tried to remove. Drew McConnell doesn't get enough recigntition. He is a great bassist, singer and is gorgeous and should be given a medal for all his work with LMHR. He's stayed with Pete longer than the other current bandmates and through some tough times and if last night was anything to go by, it should all pay off. Pete seems to be really trying to get clean. Whether he has totally succeded yet, I couldn't say because I'd have no way of knowing.

Fuck Oasis. I'd raise fifteen million for Blur to do a residency and go every night. I'd walk to Australia to see them.

I'm going to V and can't wait. The line up is amazing. Muse!!!!!!!!! I don't personally like The Verve which is unfortunate seeing as they're headlining but it should still be awesome.
