Cool ! With all those mythical songs he's written and has failed to record yet , they must now amount to approximately five White albums.

He actually did quite a lot of work with the Pet Shop Boys : he played on the whole Release album, and also did a few tracks on Behaviour, Bilingual and a couple of B sides (especially on a fantastic track called Decadence)

Amy Winehouse: 'I'm off drugs'

Singer says she's clean of illegal substances

Sun 11 Jan, 2009

Comments (1)

She forgot the "running around naked" part from her holidays but I hope she'll get back to work. When she's good, she can be REALLY good. We need to remember why we loved Back to Black so much : it wasn't because of her tattoos or her tabloid life, it was because it's a fucking great soul record and we need more of her.

Oasis new single previewed online

Clip of 'The Shock Of The Lightning' is available to hear now

Wed 30 Jul, 2008

Comments (2)

That sure is a short preview. It sounds promising, I like that bit of organ in the background. Who's expecting anything else than some pretty good songs from them anyway ? It's just good to have them around, just like Primal Scream. They'll probably never release another classic again, but they've already released two of them (three if you count the Masterplan which is a compilation made of classic B sides) and they still make good rock'n'roll. And they still have the second best british rock frontman alive (next to Gillespie, of course). That's fine by me.

Oasis exclusive: new album and single details announced

The Gallaghers' new album will be out in October

Tue 24 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

Shit titles, but what Noel says about the record sounds promising, and Dave Sardy did a great job on Don't Believe The Truth so that should be a good one. They've only been going for 15 years. Lots of great bands have been going on for even longer than this : Primal Scream, Spiritualized, New Order (well, they seem to have split up for good now), R.E.M, Depeche Mode, Ian Brown... 15-20 years is a beautiful age for a band, and Don't Believe The Truth showed that they were still capable of writing pretty good songs and record them the right way.

Coldplay follow Oasis with Thursday album release (June 12)

Is 'Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends' the new 'Be Here Now'?

Thu 12 Jun, 2008

Comments (2)

Can't be. They've already released their Be Here Now with X&Y (ridiculous anticipation, overproduced, too long, not enough good songs...), so this one's more like their Standing On The Shoulder of Giants. Which isn't very promising either. But Violet Hill is alright.

Ash to play debut album in its entirety

Band will also play other old classics at London show

Mon 12 May, 2008

Comments (1)

I think Trailer wasn't a proper album, but a compilation of their first singles. So it's technically the first album they released but the first "real" album was 1977.
