Lily Allen steps down in illegal downloads debate

Singer deletes blog as 'Abuse was getting too much'

Thu 24 Sep, 2009

I read the blog and the responses and it wasn't really abuse Lily was receiving. All it was, was a different side to the story - and an argument against what she was saying. There is another very valid side to the story, in that smaller artista are getting their music heard much more than before and are therefore not a slave to the major labels. It also means that companies such as HMV and Virgin can no longer rip us, and artists, off with their huge mark-ups on cd's. - Unfortunately as we don't go to Whickey Mist every night with teh Geldof sisters and get papped, our opinion doesn't get heard as much!! File sharing is the future, whether you like it or not Lily. And for the record, no i'm not a file sharer and if i do download music, if i like it, i buy it. If i don't, then it simply isn't worth being paid for in my opinion!

It's as regular as clockwork, according to expert

If you read it properly this isn't a forecast. I've been to Glasto 3 times and its rained once and all three time have been in the last 10 years let alone 30! This is just a guy doing a study in order to make a pointless point. Anyway, even if it does rain, i'll be loving it. Pissed down in 2007 and was the best Glasto i've beeen to. I'll take glasto over a soulless foreign festival any day of the week!

brfczander...Get arctics to support instead!! Are you joking??? Arctics are far bigger and better than Oasis. Why on earth would they support them? Plus this story just goes to show how stupid Oasis fans and Liam Gallagher are. Its a compliment surely! Morons. Ps. Enemy are shit anyway. Staying well away from Wembley on that date

Government committee wants to scrap controversial gig form

Form 696 could be on its way out

Different music has different places in society surely. There are hundreds of hip hop and such nights going on around the capital and lots of these offer live acts in the process...the restriction isn't that harsh. When are the govenment going to wake up and realise that the biggest threat to live music is touting. When will they make this illegal? Sites that condone thsi ie. Viagogo for example should cease to exist. PS. Does it really matter what Fergal Sharkey has to say? Everywhere i go, i seem to hear something out of that idiots mouth. Who cares what a nobody like him has to say!

Mogwai: 'Blur: are shite once again'

Scottish band slag off Damon Albarn and co once more

Fri 12 Dec, 2008

Comments (1)

Mogwai are a pretty shite band. I'm surprised they have so much beef with a band that are clearly more talented and able to diversify their music. I'm guessing they are slightly jealous that a band who sound like they don't have as much scope as Mogwai (but clearly do and much more diversity) are so popular!!Long live Blur and fuck Mogwai. Scottish morons!

Radiohead's Thom Yorke releases Barack Obama celebration song

The track is available to download now

Soundedd...are you serious? 'I have In Rainbows and its alright'. I've seen some of your comments on here praising bands who aren't fit to lace Thom Yorke's shoes. Radiohead are the greatest band of this generation. They define our time and will go down in history as one of the greatest bands of all time. They are on a par with the Beatles. Just my opinion though of course!
