Bloc Party's Kele Okereke: 'Sex Pistols' John Lydon is the devil'

Okereke has spoken out about his altercation with the Pistol

Fri 14 Nov, 2008

Comments (1)

Cok Party, wow look at you with your cheeky little play with words there, John Lydon is a idiot, who somehow along with his band mates has remained famous despite not doing anything worth while since 1977, unless you can count being in a butter advert or appearing on I'm a Celebrity as something worthwhile, Lydons a lair and a waste of space.

'Nearly 100 per cent of music fans copy music illegally'

Poll reveals fans' downloading and copying habits

Tue 17 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

Whilst i understand that in the modern music scene the bigger record labels unfortunately tend to play a role in helping artists get there music out there, its not to say a band can't get out there without one, Enter Shikari are a great example of a huge indie label band, and I'm more than happy to by there CD's because the money is going to them, not some record label, obviously some bands want to be signed and thats not a problem, but as long as its costing £10 for a CD sure i will by a CD every now and then but I'm sure as hell not going to stop downloading, being in a band and having many friends in bands its nice just to have people listening to the music, obviously CD sales are great, but the best thing people can do is go and see the band, get a piece of merchandise from the gig, the band get far more of the money from this than they do from CD sales... And in my experiance more 'rock/emo/whatever' fans tend to prefer albums, its more sorta chavs n' that who go for just singles.

My Chemical Romance fans protest at Daily Mail offices

Sat 31 May, 2008

Comments (1)

yeah i like My Chemical emo pants, but this all seems to of gone a bit to far. I don't even get what fans expect to happen other than have people laughing at them even more for holding some stupid protest. and the name MCRMY makes me cringe, and how they seem to of saved everyones life and all that crap... Kaiser Chiefs Ricky Wilson: 'Oasis have disappeared up their own arse'

Singer says his band are ready to replace legends

Sat 31 May, 2008

Comments (1)

Oasis are so far up there own backsides its unreal, well i say Oasis i mean Noel and Liam (does anyone even care about the other 2 blokes haha) but the Kaisers do need to come up with some slightly better lyrics first, i mean "Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby" and "Na Na Na Na Naaa Na" are not very imaginative are they. And like hell are Oasis even slightly close to being the best rock band in the UK, good god no there are hundreds and hundreds of bands who are better than Liam and Noel.

My Chemical Romance march 'aiming for 1,000 protestors'

Emo fans' stand against press misrepresentation grows

Fri 23 May, 2008

Comments (1)

The hole Emo thing is really beginning to fuck me off, I love many of the pop punk kinda bands like MCR and Taking Back Sunday, The Used, and other mainstream artists along those lines, but I don't consider them Emo, or emotive hardcore or emotional or whatever It actually stands for, basically they are punk rock. There songs are about death and the afterlife and other such subjects, so how there fans can say these subjects saved there lives I don’t know. The way its portrayed in general in the media is stupid, you get the daily mail coming up with complete crap every few weeks about My Chemical Romance being a death cult – no its many of the fans being idiots with all this MCR saved my life bollocks, I very much doubt they did and seeming as its almost every stupid 12 year old black parade listening idiot that says that very line. People need to get it in there head they are just a band, they are just normal people who write songs and perform them, they might have had chart success and all that but there nothing special! I think there great but seriously I think both the media and the fans need to grow up and move away from all the Emo cult rubbish.

fuck off you old git, id rather not go to gigs and be overpowered by second hand smoke, its good that smoking has become less socially accepted, i don't have a problem with people going home and smoking whatever they want, but why should people who don't have all sorts of health issues have to put up with it just because some old man doesnt want to be cold.

Police bust illegal file-sharing site

Wed 19 Mar, 2008

There is little point in even bothering to try and stop piracy, people will always always ALWAYS find ways around. More people would be interested in buying music if CD's were cheaper and the bands actually got more money from sales (signed artists that is).

Illegal downloaders could be banned from internet

Proposed new law could revoke online privileges

Tue 12 Feb, 2008

Comments (1)

An average CD costs around £10, however to actually make to obtain the materials, create the CD, print the covers it only costs a few pence, if the money was going to the artists then i would be more prepared to pay this every time i wanted a CD, however the fact is i know of NO-ONE AT ALL that hasn't at some point downloaded a song or a cd, been sent an album over MSN or anything like that, people should just buy an artists merch or go watch them live, that way they get more of the money. Trying to stop people from illegally downloading will be impossible without internet providers losing over 75% of there customers, and it just won't happen.
