agree manchester should have won and dont forget the like of elbow and doves as well. however there is more to liverpool than the beatles - omd, julian cope, echo and the bunnymen, the mighty wah, cast, lightning seeds, gerry and the pacemakers, frankie goes to hollywood, icicle works, the farm, boo radleys have all produced some decent stuff
