Such an awesome song, definitely a grower, its a good thing they haven't stuck to Silent Alarm formulae (although such a brilliant album) and have opted towards innovation rather than just money in the bank…

Nationwide Mercury Music Prize nominee Burial's identity revealed

Anonymous London producer outs himself

If this guy beats Radiohead, Shadow Puppets or Elbow it'll be a travesty... The music’s not bad but pretty repetitive and dull and nothing innovative of the sort, and from this article he now seems pretty pretentious. Radiohead should get it on their release method alone, that’s innovation which has changed the music industry.

Michael and Emily Eavis: 'Jay-Z will shake up Glastonbury'

Pair say this will be festival's 'flagship' year

Fri 06 Jun, 2008

Comments (1)

Ok when i first head that Jayz Headlining I thought it was a pretty bad choice but i accepted it.... when i heard of the rest of the lineup The Feeling, James Blunt, The Hoosiers I thought it was just a bad year for Glasto, but then when i heard about Eavis decining Pink Floyds offer to play their Dark Side of The Moon album they deserve to recieve negative comments, its rediculous.

"The reaction we've got from people has been really positive"..... Really?!?! are you sure because all the reactions I've heard are pretty bad and not being able to sell tickets seems a pretty negative reaction. And also "amazing" and "Historic"hmmm... Not as amazing as Radiohead, Oasis or Led Zepplin would be....

Oasis' Noel Gallagher: 'Jay-Z wrong for Glasto'

The guitarist says hip-hop is 'wrong' for the British festival

Mon 14 Apr, 2008

Comments (1)

Its got absolutely nothing to do with race and anyone who thinks he's being racist is an absolute idiot. Its all about the music. RnB does not suit Glastonbury. If eminem was booked to play there would be the exact same response regarless of race.

Jay-Z to pull out of Glastonbury?

Organisers deny rapper will pull headline slot at Worthy Farm

Mon 07 Apr, 2008

Comments (2)

It has got to be the headliners. The weather has been terrible the pervious two years but 2007 was still a sell out in hours, also the registration stytem was in operation last year too and all the tickets sold out in hours. Jay-z simply isn't right for Glasto his last albums called American Gangster for petes sake!

Michael Eavis to help Jay-Z overcome fear of Glastonbury crowd

Festival boss will personally introduce the rapper onstage

Fri 04 Apr, 2008

Comments (2)

Ha what a joke "They were slightly worried about the audience not being a London or Birmingham urban crowd" Really??!?!?! Glastonbury is known for its Rock acts not RNB artists! And micro-cuts is completely wrong the headliners in recent years have been amazing......all aprt from this year. Jay-Z is (and the verve and Kings of Leon come to that!) simply does not fit into the headline slot of Glastonbury.

Emily Eavis: 'Jay-Z not to blame for Glastonbury registrant numbers'

Glastonbury organiser claims recent bad weather is to blame

Wed 26 Mar, 2008

Comments (1)

That is complete rubbish, I went to the festival and everything i took got completely muddy and wet but it hasn't put me off Glastonbury, its like saying people won’t go on holiday to Mediterranean just because it might rain! Completely stupid. This year’s headliners are the worst I've ever seen for Glasto. Jay-Z for Glastonbury? Its like putting the Libertines on at an Opera!

Glastonbury festival 2008 headliners announced

Find out who is joining Jay-Z at Worthy Farm

Fri 08 Feb, 2008

Comments (1)

Where the hell are Radiohead??? They basically asked Micheal Eavis to play saying "we've left the weekend free" and we'll "be there either playing or not". Poor poor descisions micheal, the headliners sound like they're for the reading festival or V not Glastonbury!

What should it matter what their personalities are like? Bands nowadays should not be judged on their personalities, what they do in the press, how big their hair is or even how tight their skinny jeans are. They should be judged by the pure quality of their amazing music.
