termor - so you've been going to festivals for 6 years have u? whoopie f*ckin doo! I’ve been going to ‘em for 14 years, with literally 100s and 100s of other gigs along the way, so yeah, I think I know what I’m talking about. Firstly, a) When I say 'people who know their music', I mean people who appreciate legendary artists throughout the history of music who have moulded and influenced the music we know and love today! Past legends, such as Dylan, Hendrix, Led Zep, Beatles, Stones, The Who, Velvet Underground, Neil Young - to name but a few. Proper artists, not a 2-bit jumped up f*ck wit like ronson. He could never be mentioned in the same breath as these kinds of artists. And from the fact you've ONLY been to 6 festivals, I’d say that makes you about 22 - 23?...(any older and I’d question what the f*ck you’ve actually been doing since you left school), so obviously you’re a bit wet behind the ears. My advice to you would be to search out history and roots of music, and actually listen to, NOT STUDY, the influential people of music and then you might see ronson for the steaming pile of horse manure he really is!!!Secondly, b) it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that you don't like oasis, as oasis draw their influences from many of the legends mentioned earlier, some of whom you've probably never heard of, let alone ‘studied’! Thirdly, c) yes I did see newton faulkner, and as talented as he may be (something I’m not disputing or knocking, as anyone who can play guitar has talent…..it’s how they use it), but it doesn't change the fact he f*ckin slaughtered bohemian rhapsody, freddy mercury must have been turning in his grave!!! it is funny how a band like oasis, that aren't good (...apparently!!!!), have been so inspiring to so many bands today, some of whom you probably like. maybe oasis are good, but you just missed the boat!...and finally, just because you have an 'O' level in music and can play a few chords on guitar doesn't mean you're an expert in music my friend. Far from it. Maybe one day you’ll realise that music is much more than coursework, exams and a bit of paper.

the_royal_wee, you are talking complete and utter shit !!! at the end of the day, to someone who knows their music, ronson is an irritating, highly overrated c*nt. To those who no fuck all about music, ronson is a genius.....go figure!by the latter i refer to those music morons who raid their local topman on the friday, and then scream along to the hoosiers (or newton fuckin faulkner..tw*t!!), on someones shoulders at V (Pop) festival on the saturday.!!
