Mogwai: 'Blur: are shite once again'

Scottish band slag off Damon Albarn and co once more

While I was never a huge fan of Blur after their first album I do think Damon Albarn is one of the most eclectic, talented people working in British music today. I've been a fan of Mogwai's since Young Team and what I find most surprising is, at least Stuart Braithwaite, still even taking up mental space thinking about Blur after they've been off the air for so many years now. But let's face it, Blur did act a bit poncey at times during their careers but I personally don't feel it merits something like this, especially in 2009. By the way, apparently people aren't familiar with the fantastic animated show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim called 'Metalocalypse' as Stuart's comments printed here are basically a word for word repeat of the kind of stuff the sinister cabal monitoring Dethklok's progress say on the show, so I think he was trying to be funny there...
