Abdoujaporov cover the Fades song 1995 @ Endorse it festival August 12th 2006. When I say Abdoujaporov it would be fairer to say The Fades with Les Carter on Lead Vocal :-)

Abdoujaparov Biography

Abdoujaparov are a punk band formed on October 19 1998 by ex-Carter USM guitarist Les Carter (aka Fruitbat). Abdoujaparov's musical foundations are the joyous and shambolic influences of 1977 punk rock. The music is raucous and fast but with country elements.

So far four EPs, a single and 2 albums have been released on Spinach Records. A compilation CD featuring tracks from the first 3 EPs was released by Pop Gun in Australia. The band has toured the UK, Germany, Australia and America.

Les and guitarist Richy Crockford have recorded and toured under the name iDou, which consists of the two of them playing guitars over a backing track supplied by an iPod Shuffle.

The band are named after a professional cyclist Djamolidine Abdoujaparov, from Uzbekistan.
