Aerosmith - Just Push Play

Aerosmith : Just Push Play

But relax: after 1,000 inadvertent listens, they will corrupt your very soul.

As the cover illustration shows - Earth is ruled by sexy lady robots in Marilyn Monroe frocks. In this brave new world, much of the 'Smith's music is reassuringly familiar, barely changed over their previous 12 albums, a mix of...

Aerosmith - Just Push Play: Wikipedia Album Entry

Just Push Play is the thirteenth studio album by American hard rock band Aerosmith, released in 2001 (see 2001 in music). Helping Aerosmith in the studio were coproducers and song collaborators Marti Frederiksen and Mark Hudson.

Just Push Play features the same slick pop production that Aerosmith had been using in recent albums, though this time there was more of a vintage-era edge to most of the tracks.

The album's first single, "Jaded", became a major Top 10 hit in the U.S. and around the world. As a result, Just Push Play was certified platinum within a month of its release. Subsequent singles "Fly Away from Here", "Sunshine", and "Just Push Play", though garnering some airplay, failed to impact the Hot 100 much, although the latter two charted on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart and the former charted on the Adult Top 40.

The eight-month long Just Push Play Tour, which ran from June 2001 to January 2002 was launched to support the album.

The album's cover features a gynoid resembling Marilyn Monroe and was designed by Hajime Sorayama. As a pun of the album name, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith uses the album's cover on the start screen and states over it "Just push any button to play". The cover is similar to American rock band Autograph's album That's the Stuff because they both have gynoids on the cover.
