She currently works with 2 bands, which are separate projects to her solo songwriting:
Panic Room is a new band based in Wales, UK, and Helder has co-written their first album Visionary Position with keyboardist Jonathon Edwards. From 2001 to 2004, Helder was a member of the Welsh band Karnataka, along with Edwards and two other members of Panic Room (Paul Davies and Gavin John Griffiths). When the band split in 2004, these four continued to work together. In April 2008 the band played their first UK dates, and the debut album had its official release through Voiceprint distribution. The band toured further in late 2008. In late 2009 the band performed a few select shows after completing work on their second album Satellite which is released on 25 January 2010, again through Voiceprint distribution. A special edition of the album was available at live shows and direct from the band's website which included a second CD titled Little Satellite with an additional 4 tracks including "Sandstorms" which has already become a firm favourite live. Panic Room are due to tour again in early 2010 in support of the Satellite album.
Mostly Autumn are a rock band, based in York. Helder first collaborated with the band when she played some solo supports for them in 2007, and later that year she agreed to 'dep' for flautist/keyboardist Angela Gordon while the latter took some maternity time to have her first child. In early 2008, there were many shuffles to the line-up of the band, and as both Gordon and keyboardist Chris Johnson left to pursue other projects, Helder was invited to join them to play keyboards, acoustic guitar, flute and backing vocals. Helder recorded vocals and flute with Mostly Autumn on the 2008 album Glass Shadows and toured with them on all their 2008 shows.
She has also guested with the Icon project by John Wetton and Geoff Downes.
