Brendan Benson Biography

Brendan Benson (born November 14, 1970, in Royal Oak, Michigan) is an American musician and songwriter. He sings and plays guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and drums. He has released four solo albums and is a member of the band The Raconteurs.

Benson's major musical influences include The Cars, David Bowie, The Electric Light Orchestra, Elvis Costello, The Kinks, Robyn Hitchcock, Paul McCartney, Joe Jackson, The Who, Dramarama, and Todd Rundgren.

Benson and his wife Brittney (nee Harris) currently live in Nashville, Tennessee.
