Deep Purple - Made In Europe: Wikipedia Album Entry
Made in Europe is a live album by Deep Purple. It was recorded in April 1975 during the last days of Mark III line-up. After the last show featured here, Ritchie Blackmore left the band dissatisfied with the musical direction the band was taking with two new musicians, David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes.
The album features only songs from the band's two albums recorded by this line-up, Burn and Stormbringer.
It is rumoured, that some heavy editing of the crowd noise has been performed before the release, which can be heard at the very end of the record, when applause is clearly looped.
The album was released in 1976, shortly after the band broke up, to capitalise on the break-up.
It is generally claimed that Mk III: The Final Concerts and Live In Paris 1975, both live albums featuring performances from the same week (and some from the same shows), are superior to this release.
