Deep Purple - Rapture Of The Deep: Wikipedia Album Entry
Rapture Of The Deep is the 18th studio album by Deep Purple. It was recorded and released in 2005. A tour edition followed some months later with a bonus CD containing live tracks and session left-outs.
The band embarked on a lenghty, multiple-leg tour, during which they played many of the album's tracks and even the left-outs, such as "Things I Never Said" and "The Well-Dressed Guitar". These two tracks, along with the title track are still in the band's setlist as of 2010. The title track became a kind of a live favourite among fans.
The album was generally praised by fans and reviewers, reaching top40 in some European countries, e.g. #10 in Germany and #11 in Finland.
It was the second album recorded by Mark VIII, that features:
Ian Gillan
Roger Glover
Steve Morse
Ian Paice
Don Airey
As of November 2010, it is still the last Deep Purple album, although a new album by the side line-up is expected in 2011.

Deep Purple - Rapture Of The Deep Lyrics
Deep Purple - Back To Back Lyrics
I read in the news that the average man
Is uplifted five times a day
I'm confused, I have to confess
My feeling never goes away
Deep Purple - Things I Never Said Lyrics
Don't get me started, let's get it right
There's no use to talk about it, deep into the night
Don't ask about secrets I could tell
I'm gonna keep them to myself
Deep Purple - Junkyard Blues Lyrics
Broken down relations, beaten up guitars
Making one last appearance in a heap of old cars
Brambles and weeds are flourishing amongst
Lines of empty bottles and rambling drunks
Deep Purple - Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye Lyrics
I threw a rock in the lake and it sank to the bottom
The waves spread out but the rock got forgotten
The ripples came back as we all feared
Deep Purple - Money Talks Lyrics
I was young and healthy, extremely wealthy
I swung in the trees and did as I pleased
I thought I was rich, oh yeah
Deep Purple - MTV Lyrics
I was driving through the night
Into an endless tunnel of fog
When it dawned on me something was wrong
I was in a trance, hypnotized
Deep Purple - Rapture Lyrics
I told you once about a place that I had accidentally stumbled upon
Can you imagine how it feels to find somewhere that you can do no wrong
But it's alright you're safe in my hands
Deep Purple - Girls Like That Lyrics
I'm in a bad spot, babe
I can't hear what you say
I'd love to stop and talk
You keep fading away
Deep Purple - Don't Let Go Lyrics
You know I get lost on a regular basis
I'm not alone, I see the same old faces
Back on the road it's a worthy opponent
I get home in the heat of the moment
Deep Purple - Clearly Quite Absurd Lyrics
After all we said today, the strangest thought occurred
I feel I ought to tell you, but it's clearly quite absurd
Wouldn't it be wonderful, If you could read my mind
Imagine all the stuff we could leave behind
Deep Purple - Before Time Began Lyrics
The daylight fades and the stars come out
But there's never much to talk about
Another day goes rushing by
And here we are just wondering why
Deep Purple - Wrong Man Lyrics
I wasn't in the room
When the action was goin' down
I may have been there once
But at the time I was out of town
