Depeche Mode - Sounds Of The Universe: Wikipedia Album Entry
Sounds of the Universe is the twelfth full-length album by Depeche Mode, released in Europe on 20 April, 2009, and on 21 April, 2009, in the US and Canada. It's supported by the ongoing Tour of the Universe. The album contains 13 tracks.
As with the previous album, Playing the Angel, Dave Gahan has once again written three songs with Christian Eigner and Andrew Phillpott: "Hole to Feed", "Come Back" and "Miles Away / The Truth Is". "Spacewalker" and the bonus track "Esque" are instrumentals. Martin Gore shares lead singing duties with Gahan on "In Chains", "Peace" and "Little Soul", he sings the lead of "Jezebel" and the probable B-side "The Sun and the Moon and the Stars" on the second disc of the Deluxe Box Set. The B-side "Oh Well" is the first track ever to be co-written by Gore and Gahan. The album ends with a short hidden instrumental track after "Corrupt".

Depeche Mode - Sounds Of The Universe Lyrics
Depeche Mode - Perfect Lyrics
On another world by another star
At another place and time
In another state of consciousness
In another state of mind
Depeche Mode - In Chains Lyrics
The way you move
Has got me yearning
The way you move
Has left me burning
Depeche Mode - Jezebel Lyrics
They call you Jezebel
Whenever we walk in
You're going straight to hell
For wanted acts of sin, they say
Depeche Mode - Hole To Feed Lyrics
We are here, we can love
We share something
I'm sure that you'll mean
The world to me
Depeche Mode - Fragile Tension Lyrics
There's a fragile tension
That's keeping us going
It may not last forever
But always is flowing
Depeche Mode - Corrupt Lyrics
I could corrupt you
In a heartbeat
You think you're so special
Think you're so sweet
Depeche Mode - Little Soul Lyrics
My little light
Is going to shine
Shine out so bright
And illuminate your mind
Depeche Mode - Peace Lyrics
Peace will come to me
Peace will come to me
I'm leaving bitterness behind
Depeche Mode - Miles Away/The Truth Is Lyrics
It's one of those conversations
We've, we've had them before
The ones that leave you empty
And wanting for more
Depeche Mode - Come Back Lyrics
Come back, come back to me
I've been waiting here patiently
Come back, come back to me
I've been waiting here patiently
Depeche Mode - In Sympathy Lyrics
They're almost falling over you
Why don't we call a truce?
Whatever they are trying to do
Is of little use
