Faith No More

Biography

Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California. The band was originally formed as Sharp Young Men (and later Faith No Man), in 1979. Billy Gould, Roddy Bottum and Mike Bordin are the longest remaining members of the band, having been involved with Faith No More since its inception. The band underwent several lineup changes throughout their career.

Faith No More achieved commercial success with their first two albums with vocalist Mike Patton -- The Real Thing (1989) and Angel Dust (1992) -- which were certified platinum and gold respectively in sales. The band broke up in April 1998, but reformed in February 2009, embarking on a tour for the following three years. After a hiatus in 2013, Faith No More returned in 2014, and is currently recording a new album, which is due for release in April 2015. The band has sold over ten million records worldwide.
