He has toured across the world and has opened for acts including Katie Melua and Two Gallants and his friends Noah and the Whale and Laura Marling. He is also a keen collaborator having worked with artists such as SoKo and Mumford & Sons.
Pistolet released his debut single 'We Are Free' through Chess Club Records on 19 November 2007. He followed this by going into the studio with Charlie Fink (of Noah and the Whale), resulting in a 3 track demo. Pistolet then released an EP, again produced by Charlie Fink, which was released on 17 November 2008 on Stiff Records.

His song Golden Age is known for its use in the Sun Chips commercial in the USA.
