Formed in late 2003 by Alan McDonald (guitar/vocals), "Frog" Coburn (bass/vocals), Mark Nelson (guitar) and Chris McGreevy (drums), this Newcastle-based UK indie rock quartet came together from the ashes of a number of local bands. Their energetic post-punk guitar rock soon found favour on the UK independent live scene, and despite being a support band the quartet began to steal shows from the more established headliners. Their electric debut single "Nightjoy" was released in 2005 in a limited edition run on black and white vinyl on the Fantastic Plastic label. The follow-up, "Taxi", was an equally catchy burst of angst-ridden indie rock, and was released via Fantastic Plastic in another limited edition vinyl run. The quartet was courted by several labels and, after a number of false starts, opted to sign with the independent 30:30 Recordings. They released their debut, Not Enough Night, in March 2007.
