A video made by Sarah Labuhn for one of the tracks from our debut album, This Is Lardcore. Apologies for the slightly dodgy sound but I have no idea what I'm doing with regards to video.

Lardpony Biography

Lardpony are a 4-piece indie-pop band from Derby, UK. They released their first album, This Is Lardcore, on 17 April 2006. It received airplay on BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank's show[http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/huwstephens/tracklistingarchive.shtml?070419]. A second album, The Greatest Invention Ever, was released on 16 April 2007, and received further Radio 1 airplay, this time from Huw Stephens [http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/huwstephens/tracklistingarchive.shtml?070419] [http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/huwstephens/tracklistingarchive.shtml?070315].

The band completed a short tour in 2006, during which they were interviewed by Sky News about the phenomenon of musicians rising to chart success via MySpace. They have supported the likes of The Research, Mates of State, Boyracer, data Panik, Mirah, Milky Wimpshake, Bearsuit and Yumi Yumi[http://www.bowlie.com/forum/nottingham/19852-mirah-milky-wimpshake-lardpony-june-19th-nottingham.html].

In 2004, bassist Dave Williams (also of Plans & Apologies) left the band and was replaced by Nathan Wilson. The band went on hiatus in September 2008, due to keyboard player Mandy McKirdy expecting her first child. After resuming normal duties in early 2009, Mandy decided to leave the band later that year, and it is currently unclear whether Lardpony will continue.
