In 1988 Marshall Law was formed by Andy Pyke and Dave Martin. The band recorded demos and sold over 5000 copies at live shows in the UK and around the world. In 1989/90, Marshall Law recorded and released their eponymous debut album on Heavy Metal Records in Europe, distributed by BMG. This gained world wide critical acclaim. European tours followed and so did their second album, Powergame, selling 33,000 copies in the first few weeks and reaching number 6 in the Japanese album charts. Law in the Raw was released in 1997 through Neat Metal. Metal Detector was released in 1998 followed by the classic Warning from History in 1999. This also saw Marshall Law again hit Europe with Metal Church and Thunderhead, and also playing with Pretty Maids, Dio, Motorhead, Hammerfall and WASP. Sanctuary Records released a best-of album in 2003 which gained worldwide interest. Marshall Law re-surfaced again in 2007 and released a new album Razorhead on November 3 2008.
