Oasis - Lord Don't Slow Me Down: Wikipedia Album Entry
Lord Don't Slow Me Down is Oasis's 26th single released as a digital download only in October 2007. It is one of just two Oasis singles (the other being Whatever) that is not included on a studio album. However the song is included on a bonus disc of the "Dig Out Your Soul" album, but is not included on the official release.
It debuted at #10 in the UK Singles Charts, the lowest position for an Oasis single since 1994. This is thought to be because of lack of significant publicity or corresponding album. Generally the track was well-received by critics and fans.
The song was going to be included in the 2005 album "Don't Believe The Truth", however that idea was rejected by Noel Gallagher as he thought that he would then have sung on too many of the albums tracks.
The b-sides to the single include live versions of 2005's "The Meaning Of Soul" and 1996's "Don't Look Back In Anger", both from a concert at the City Of Manchester Stadium in 2005.
Lord Don't Slow Me Down is also the title of an Oasis rockumentary film documenting the Don't Believe The Truth and Stop The Clocks tours around the world. The film reached Platinum and is the bands fifth DVD release.
