He was the lead vocalist and played guitar in various formats of the band.In 1996 he left The Almighty and formed short lived band (sic) with Ciaran McGoldrick and Gary Sullivan and had some success in Japan. When (sic) finished,he got The Almighty back until they finally disbanded in 2001. They recently announced a reformation of the band and also a UK tour for next year
Warwick is good friends with the singer Joe Elliott, having performed backup vocals on Def Leppard albums, whilst Elliott has returned the favour on his.
In 2006 Warwick joined the band Circus Diablo, along with Billy Duffy (The Cult).
Ricky was formerly married to Vanessa Warwick.
He has in the past toured Europe supporting Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crowe and Keith Caputo. Ricky has also appeared on The Stiff Little Fingers Live album. He recently released a new single called the arms of belfast town which is now played before each Northern Ireland home football game.
