This is, quite possibly, the best recorded concert the Who ever performed. They were in the mood. The Audience was respectful (as were the British in the those days) and spent much of the time mesmerized. Pete and the Gang were a bit mellow in contrast to their reputation, however their focus was clearly being themselves in front of an audience who came to hear THEM. Just a perfect night for The Who.
