Van Halen - Van Halen: Wikipedia Album Entry
Van Halen is the self-titled debut album by american hard rock band Van Halen, released in 1978.
The album recorded in 1977 and released in February 1978. It has sold over ten million copies in the United States alone, one of the most successful debuts by a hard rock band. Along with 1984, it gives Van Halen two original (non-greatest hits) albums with Diamond status in sales.
From a technical perspective, Eddie Van Halen's guitar solo, Eruption, was influential on many rock guitarists who found popularity in the 1980s."Eruption" was added to the album when producer, Ted Templeman heard Eddie warming up with the instrumental. Eddie told Ted that it was just a solo piece he played live.
The album cover was shot at the Whisky a Go Go.
In 2003, the album was ranked number 415 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
In 2006, a cover of You Really Got Me based on Van Halen's cover You Really Got Me appeared as a playable song in the music video game Guitar Hero II.

Van Halen - Van Halen Lyrics
Van Halen - Runnin' With The Devil Lyrics
Yeah, yeah, ah, yeah
I live my life like there's no tomorrow
And all I've got, I had to steal
Least I don't need to beg or borrow
Van Halen - Atomic Punk Lyrics
I am a victim of the science age
A child of the storm, whoa yes
I can't remember when I was your age
For me, it says no more, no more
Van Halen - Feel Your Love Tonight Lyrics
All right
We're gettin' funny in the back of my car
I'm sorry honey if I took it just a little too far, yes
Van Halen - Ice Cream Man Lyrics
Dedicate one to the ladies
Now summertime's here, babe, need somethin' to keep you cool
Ah, now summertime's here, babe, need somethin' to keep you cool
Van Halen - Little Dreamer Lyrics
They may talk about your cold when you were
Headed for the skies
But you were young and bold, and baby
Didn't that change with a wink of your eye
Van Halen - On Fire Lyrics
Turn your radios on
I'll appear right there, yes I will
Turn me up real loud
I'm in your ears
Van Halen - You Really Got Me Lyrics
Girl, you really got me now
You got me, so, I don't know what I'm doin'
Girl, you really got me now
You got me, so, I can't sleep at night
