In 2005 the band were invited by artist Cerith Wyn Evans to create a performance at Modern Art Oxford marking the gallery's 40th anniversary. In 2008 they performed for Martin Creed at Tate Britain.
In March 2007 they created a performance with [http://www.k9freestyle.co.uk/ Richard Curtis] and his famous dog dancing display team at [http://www.studiovoltaire.org/home.htm Studio Voltaire]. The band played hits such as Cotton-Eyed Joe, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head and Mr. Sandman while the dogs danced to the music. The performance raised ?198.61 for Resonance FM, effectively saving the station from closure.

Their highly acclaimed videos were directed by [http://www.simongreen.org/ Simon Green]. In 2008 the album track "Round" was selected for the BBC New Music Shorts competition, the winner, [http://www.kirkhendry.com/films.html Kirk Hendry], was given ?5,000 to make a short film inspired by the song.
At Underage Festival 2008 they invited political activist Brian Haw on stage to talk to the crowd about his anti-war protest.
The artwork and design for all the XX Teens' releases was by [http://www.adamlatham.co.uk/ Adam Latham]. The band appeared on the cover of Artrocker magazine in May 2007 and also in August 2008.
They are signed to Mute for recordings, and have a deal with Sentric Music for publishing, the band have not released anything under the name XX Teens since the latter half of 2008.
