Wembley's Empire Pool held the Poll Winners concert which was described as a "glittering, star-studded spectacle."

"Screams galore greeted the appearance of Cliff Richard," (of course). Meanwhile, Eddie Cochran "proved to be one of the most animated performers America has sent us for a long time," belting through 'C'Mon Everybody' whilst Gene Vincent's "presentation (was) unusual to say the least."
