NME's headline calls it the “Greatest Pop Talent Parade The World Has Ever Known”, and they could well be right. Roy Orbison hands out the awards, Elvis Presley sends a recorded message and if that's not enough, The Hollies, Cliff Richard, Manfred Mann, The Dave Clark Five, The Searchers, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Gerry And The Pacemakers, Freddie And The Dreamers and The Rolling Stones all play stunning sets to rapturous applause. The Beatles are pelted with jelly babies in appreciation of their two-song set (‘Long Tall Sally’ and ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’) and this time the revolution is televised.

Presenter: Roy Orbison
