The NME Carling Awards brings sex, glamour, success and controversy to a large cellar in London's Shoreditch. U2 finally show up, along with Noel and Liam, Kylie Minogue, Primal Scream, The Strokes, Coldplay and Atomic Kitten all coming together to celebrate the very best in music. Radiohead bag Best Band, Marilyn Manson is Best Metal Act, Coldplay win Best Track for 'Yellow' (as well as being Best New Artist), U2 are crowned Godlike Genius, Kelis is Best R&B/Soul Act and Primal Scream get Best Album for ‘XTRMNRTR’. Chris from Coldplay also loses his marbles and claims that Craig David wears a cauliflower on his head. Fatboy Slim disses Darius from Popstars and Hero Of The Year Liam Gallagher wears a daft fluffy white coat.
