Despite a star-studded guest list (where else could you see Teddy Sheringham and Pete Doherty rub shoulders with Kanye West?), the Shockwaves NME Awards 2006 will be remembered for one thing – Ryan Jarman’s death-defying table scramble in which The Cribs’ frontman jumped belly up onto the Kaiser Chief’s wine glasses.
