I have been playing in and out of bands for about 12 years now and have played a number of the usual venues like the night and day café, the Astoria (for a Tsunami charity gig), The Halfmoon in Putney and a couple of venues abroad such as La Pomme D’eve where I supported Paul Curreri and Devon Sproule. I write my songs on an acoustic guitar which means I’m as comfortable playing intimate sets with nothing more than six strings and a boom stick as I am sitting in a dank studio for seven hours listening to the same 1.7 seconds of music. I really want to make a living doing this and could well be submitting forms like this when I’m collecting my pension (which isn’t for a long time yet!!)I am influenced by countless artists, most of which are local to me and I try to mix my sets up with songs that are heart warming, heart breaking, heart f*cking and sometimes downright angry. I love nothing more than playing songs stripped down (not me..the song) and then going home and trying to turn them into big productions â€" my weakness is not knowing when to leave it as a simple acoustic and vocals tune.I would love to hear what you think of my stuff.
