Tunnel Frenzies

Track Description
Reformed after a 13 year 'break' and following the disappearance in India of bass guitarist Jason Bellman the three remaining members of Tunnel Frenzies comprising Gary (vocals) Mark (guitar) and Steve (drums) decided the time was right to make some more music.
Originally formed in Manchester in the late 1980's during the 'Madchester' scene the band had more in common with Seattle than Salford. In 1989 the band were offered a session by the late great John Peel on the strength of a 4-track demo that the band had sent in to his show. Following on from this Probe Plus records offered to release a 6 track ep and so 'Knee Deep and Wasted' was released in early 1990 with the band gigging up and down the country to promote it.
In 1991 the band released their second ep 'Four Songs' on their own Ungri Puppiz label and played alongside Mudhoney, Hole ,Babes in Toyland, Bomb Disneyland and Gallon Drunk to name a few.
In early 1992 and by mutual consent the band decided to go their seperate ways feeling that things had run their natural course and so played their last gig in Manchester with Therapy.
The band stayed in contact with each other and in 1996 Jason Bellman the bass guitarist went to India on a backpacking holiday. Whilst in India he disappeared and has not been seen or heard of since.
In the summer of 2005 Gary ,Mark and Steve decided the time was right for the 'Frenzies' to make some more music and so following very few rehearsals the band have recorded 3 new songs that are available as downloads on the bands 'Myspace' pages. 'Ghost of India' written in memory of Jason. 'Sleeper' and (Just 'coz I Don't) Talk Like You. The band are currently writing more songs and hope to record them in the New Year. After this the band hope to start gigging again and to put some grit back into Brit Pop.
