Oh what a cruel commandress fate is – especially on the London grime scene this weekend.

For just three days after Dizzee Rascal was picked up by the law for allegedly possessing an offensive weapon, the track 'Violence' by Diz protégés Newham Generals was torpedoed out onto the net, featuring a rap from the man who clearly didn't hear those 'Sirens' coming on Friday.

The Rascal recites:

"Violence ain’t ever distant but I can't say I’m resistant,
When its beef I’m consistent, come with it I’m insistent,
I really wanna be a good Christian, but I got rage in my system,
So fuck what you say I ain’t listening,
Any boy test I’ll twist ‘em,
That’s how I been from day one, don’t take shit from anyone,
If you want beef just say son, with a nine mill I’m a top gun,
But I shoot better with a shotgun,
I’ll leave you with a hot one,
Fear I really ain’t got none"

Here's the tune:

Nine mills and shotguns are probably offensive weapons, but Diz was accused of allegedly wielding a more tame face-beater: a baseball bat. Hey, isn't a dude allowed to walk to the park for a few slogs with his mates these days?

Aaaanyway, a cynic might say the Generals are cashing in on Diz's negative publicity by releasing the clip today – but hey, the song's good, looking forward to next year's album proper. No doubt it will be entitled 'Korma Here', and released the Monday after Dizzee gets papped enjoying dinner in his local curry house.
