Yup, it’s that time of the week again – when we stop working and start randomly dreaming up stupid 'Bands as (insert topical theme here)'.
This week, between discussions about Cribs b-sides, we’ve been nattering about Jeremy Kyle, star of this week’s NME Student Guide (free with this week’s issue…), who’s been in a load of hot water with a judge, who accused his show of “human bear baiting”. Ooh!
Anyway, inspired by Jez we’ve been dreaming up bands as daytime TV shows. Here are some of our favourites so far:
Republic of Loose Women
Johnny Cash In The Attic
Hard-Fi Sell
Richard Hawley and Judy
System Of A Countdown
Ready, The Hold Steady, Cook, or Ready Steady Kooks
Kim Deal Or No Kim Deal?
Mastodon Chef
Buddy Hollyoaks
Blue Peter Doherty
Judge John Deed Kennedys
Now we want to see if you lot can do better. Have a think then leave your own bands as daytime TV shows in the comment box below, and don’t forget to e-mail it around to get your mates involved.
Sounds a bit lame, I know, but trust me once you think of one, you’ll be hooked…
