Psychedelic warriors, stadium-busters and all round bloody nice guys as it turns out Kasabian paid us a visit recently.
The band braved NME HQ (pictured above) for the full works: mag interview, photo shoot, video interviews, radio session and TV takeover - so in their honour it's Kasabian Week at NME.
There's loads of stuff going on over the site. Check out our extensive photo gallery from the day and head over to the video section for loads of Kasabian videos including an exclusive three-part documentary on the band featuring interviews with all four members alongside NME Radio's Chris Martin, Radar editor Jaimie Hodgson and other key figures.
Meanwhile over on the Bands' Blog, Serge reveals the top ten tracks that rock his world, including DJ Shadow, Rage Against The Machine and two massive tunes from Babe Ruth and The Faces. Hear them all here.
During their trip the band performed 'Underdog', 'Fire' and 'Where Did All The Love Go'. NME Radio have been playing the tracks out all week.
The band also recorded a couple of takeovers for NME TV. Watch them introducing their top twenty videos on Sky Channel 382 on Friday (Oct 30th) at 9pm and tune in again on Sunday (Nov 1st) at 11pm to see the band talk through their own best videos.
For their magazine interview, we asked YOU what you wanted to know via NME.COM and @nmemagazine at Twitter. Grab this week's mag to read the band on swine flu, stagedivers and crappy aftershow parties.

I loved his long hair, though this nwe haircut makes him look younger. I wonder how much hair products he's using though to keep that quiff up. And he stopped touching his hair since the haircut.

His new hair compliments his obviously well looked after and moisturised face. People may not think of him as doing this, but he probably does. The hair mixes in with his skin color and is sleek and elegeant, unlike his old scruffy barnet.

Tom's haircut.. hmm i have to say i prefered the old one BUT after seeing him onstage, i actually got used to his "new" hair very well !
In fact, a friend made me realise that, if you look at a picture of Brad Pitt in Inglorious Bastards ( http://blogs.timeslive.co.za/minor/files/2009/05/brad-pitt-is-a-bastard.jpg ) and at one of Tom during Kasabian's Paris concert ( http://www.soundofviolence.net/Photos/Kasabian%20-%20Paris%20Bataclan%20%5B23.10.2009%5D/05.jpg) , you can see that their coat & haircut are quite alike !!

After just missing out on the signing in Manchester on the day the album came out i missed the chance to say what my mother sent me on a mission to say"tom get your hair cut" Me with long hair was irritating her and she wanted a "role model" to pathe the way in haircut technology...after watching the mercuries when quite frankly it seemed everyone was judging you for the haircut rather than the excellence that is W.R.P.L.A and i Have to agree the 50's tom its in its so far in you've pulled a rabbit out of the hat i would copy it but then it would be like being compared with a true figure of our times haha (salutes)

Toms haircut is amazing! I mean I don't think he could ever have a hair disaster he seems to suit everything!! I think the only person who has a better hair record is Joshua third (the horrors). To be perfectly honest, mate... its a vast improvement. Y'know, you're an attractive guy and the the little quiff (spelling?) thing happening with the fringe is quite awesome. You don't see the style too much these days and its refreshing and edgy to see an innovative and as equally edgy a musician bringing back the '20s. Props to you Tom! brilliant.

What ever hairstyle Tom has, he and the rest of the band will always be cool. They follow their own styles, not the fashions that everyone elsec craves to follow
